141 Stanley James Milliken 1945 - 1995
An outstanding community worker, Stanley James Milliken has lost his battle with cancer. Stan was born at Nabiac on January 18 1945. He was the only son of Tim and Nell Milliken (deceased) and he also had a half brother John Bryan (deceased). Stan was educated at Taree and Tamworth Farrah Agricultural High. He obtained a degree in Agriculture at Hawksbury Agricultural College. This is when he met his wife Aileen; they were married on August 15 1964 at Windsor. Stan and Aileen settled at Wallambah to dairy farm with their children, they then moved to Elands to farm beef cattle where they remained for the past 25 years.
Stan was a very dedicated and hard worker on the farm, in the timber industry and in the community. He had been president, or a member of the Bulga Rodeo Committee, the Elands P and C, the Little Plains Hall Committee and the Bushfire Brigade. But his biggest love was his family, his children Rosemary Males, Trish Temple, Tim Milliken and Beth Manwaring. He also had 12 grandchildren who cherished him, spending many weekends on the horse with 'poppy'. Because of Aileen's love and dedication he remained at home with his family until he died.
